本书适用于国际汉语教师、汉语志愿者，以及汉语国际教育专业的本科生和硕士研究生；可用于专业课教学、职业培训或者自学。
本书的课堂活动分为“语音、汉字、词语、句法、语篇”等五个大类，大类下又细分为国际汉语教学中最常见的近百个语言点，分别与128个课堂活动一一对应，这种点对点相结合的模式便于教师进行检索、学习和操作。每种课堂活动的内容包括：活动目的、活动准备、活动步骤、小贴士（主要内容是活动扩展说明）。
本书提炼出汉语课堂教学中常见的50个问题，内容涉及教学准备、学生情况、教师自身、教学组织、教学环节等五个方面。编者从问题思考、年轻教师的困惑或编者心语等不同的角度引入问题，并以娓娓道来、引人入胜的方式对问题进行了解答，目的在于为教师提供最贴心、最实用的教学指南。
This book is suitable for international Chinese language teachers, Chinese language volunteers, as well as undergraduate and master’s students in Chinese international education; it can be used for teaching professional courses, vocational training or self-study.
The classroom activities in this book are divided into five major categories, including “phonetics, Chinese characters, words, syntax and parts of speech”, which are subdivided into nearly 100 language points most commonly used in international Chinese teaching, corresponding to 128 classroom activities. The content of each classroom activity includes: purpose of the activity, preparation for the activity, steps for the activity, and tips (the main content is an extended description of the activity).
The book distils 50 common questions for teaching Chinese in the classroom, covering five areas: preparation for teaching, students’ situation, teachers themselves, teaching organisation, and teaching sessions. The editor introduces the questions from different perspectives, such as thinking about the questions, young teachers’ confusion or the editor’s thoughts, and answers the questions in an unflinching and engaging way, with the aim of providing teachers with the most intimate and practical teaching guide.
