Objectives:

  • To Gain a Comprehensive Insight into the Development of Contemporary Chinese Society, Culture, and Science & Technology
  • To Foster Substantive Exchanges Between Educators from China, Singapore, and Malaysia
  • To Broaden the Scope for Collaborative Development Between Schools and in Chinese Language Education

Dates:

From 01 June 2025 (Sunday) to 05 June 2025 (Thursday)

Eligibility:

Principals or Chinese Language Program Heads from Primary, Secondary, or Tertiary Schools and Educational Institutions in Singapore or Malaysia, who are under 65 Years Old and Do Not Hold Chinese Citizenship

Costs and Coverage:

  • The “Chinese Bridge” Fund Covers Accommodation, Meals, and Study Tour Expenses After Arrival in Shanghai
  • Each Participant is Responsible for a Registration Fee of SGD 214 (Inclusive Of GST) and Round-Trip Airfare Between Singapore/Malaysia and Shanghai

Each Participant will be Provided with a Single Room.

Itinerary:

01 June

  • Airport Pick-up and Hotel Check-in
  • Cultural Visit: Huangpu River

02 June

  • Symposium with Educators
  • Campus Tour of East China Normal University
  • Visit to Shanghai Museum (East) and Shanghai Tower

03 June

  • Visit to a Local Primary school and FAW-Volkswagen Co., Ltd.
  • Cultural Visit: The City God Temple

04 June

  • Visit to Yew Chung International School of Shanghai (includes a symposium and special lecture: “Application of AI Technology in IB Education”).

05 June

  • Cultural Visit: Yu Garden
  • Airport Transfer and Departure

Crestar will:

  • Send a QR Code for Registration Fee Payment
  • Issue an Official Receipt upon Payment
  • Coordinate Flight Arrangements (either Self-booked or Booked through Crestar).

Confucius Classroom (Crestar)

 Confucius Classroom (Crestar) was established in Singapore in April 2012 as a collaboration between the Crestar Education Group and the internationally-renowned Confucius Institute Headquarters in Beijing, China.

Authorised by Chinese International Education Foundation of China, East China Normal University has been jointly developing Confucius Classroom (Crestar) together with Crestar Education Group since 2021. This marked a new milestone in the professionalisation and internationalisation of Confucius Classroom (Crestar).

As a non-profit organisation, Confucius Classroom (Crestar) works closely with various related sectors in Singapore and Malaysia to promote the development of Chinese language learning.
